Consumer Conferences are scheduled to take place in a number of cities as part of a series of events for the Product Safety Week. In the course of the conferences, consumers and consumer representatives will be informed about the risks that different product groups might have, how to identify safe/unsafe products, what course of action consumers can follow regarding products they suspect are unsafe, what they should do, and to whom and how they can complain. The conferences will feature Ministry experts working in market surveillance and will aim to raise awareness and boost competence in consumers in relation to product safety.
Representatives of non-governmental organizations and consumer associations as well as members of the press based in the provinces where the conferences are due to take place and in the surrounding provinces are cordially invited to these events.
